                     After finishing up my 6th and 8th scene I decided to look at different locations to film at. I filmed 6 and 8 both at home. The Pretty Hurts music video is filmed in various locations. To show how the emotions the characters is feeling is always there I want to film out of my home. I have a homecoming dance coming up and filing there would boost the music video. In my opinion the excitement of the dance and everything else that will be going on around me will show in the  music video. This is one of the scenes that I am very excited to film. For the costumes everyone else will be dressed nicely and it will look like there was more effort put in. Even thought there was effort put in for every scene that was filmed it will bring me more comfort knowing there is a scene like that in there.  My group decided what sevens everyone will film. Since the distance between me and the other is too big for me to meet up I am filming mines on my own. I will film scenes 6 7 8 and 9. I have only began to film scene 6. I got my mom to help me film this scene since I needed an over the shoulder shot. The viewers needed to see me searching up other people so they can understand what I’m trying to communicate without having to say it. I made myself look distressed and sad and I used a neutral lighting. In the scenes I film in plan to make the lighting darker and darker overtime to show the weight the thoughts had on the person I am playing. My character in the scene is comparing herself to other celebrities that have the money and resources to make themselves look a certain way. But celebrities tell people they got their body from just working out, and this makes the character I play feel bad about herself even more. In the next scene I plan to film it at my homecoming dance. While every

                 While my team filmed, I edited scenes for the music video. The first scene that was filmed was of one of the actors looking into the mirror. The shot was a medium long shot and it showed the actors upper half. The actor is analyzing herself in the mirror and she is feeling insecure about herself. The actor analyzing her looks and she feels bad about herself. This is the first scene that will be displayed in the music video. The first thing viewers should think of is insecurities. How they affect people and how they ruin self image. The first shot will start with a fade in, I’m trying to give off the feeling of a story being told. After the first scene the actor goes into the bathroom and puts on makeup to feel better. It doesn’t work so she ends up feeling worse. There will be no transitions in between scenes.                  This production blog will be about how my group did not film yet. While my group had a schedule for filming it had to be altered because things came up. For me I have been busy all week and for the last weeks. I moved houses and the quarter at my school is ending. I have been focusing on unpacking and moving around. My grades have also been a main priority for me and while this music video is a part of it my other grades are more at risk. My group members have also been busy with work and testing. My group will have to figure out a schedule to start production and filming. Instead of filming I have been trying to figure out how each scene will exactly go. Each scene is obviously important, and it must contain a message I am trying to get across. One of the scenes will be focused mainly around comparing yourself to celebrities.   Scene 1 - A girl looking in the mirror feeling insecure and depressed due to her body and looks.  Scene 2 - A girl goes to the bathroom to apply makeup on her face because she wants to make herself feel prettier, better, and secure. Scene 3 - After a girl puts on makeup to attempt to make herself feel better, she still doesn't feel confident about her looks .  Scene 4 - Girl goes to the mall, but, then she sees how everyone else looks, and she feels uglier than everyone there, which adds on to her insecurities.  Scene 5 - After going to the mall trying to find a bathing suit for the beach, she ends up not buying a bathing suit and goes to the beach fully covered because she is too insecure to show off her body. Scene 6 - Girl then looks up celebrities that have surgeries so she can make herself look like them, an attempt to make herself prettier.  Scene 7 - As a girl goes out and meets some new people, she starts comparing herself to them, she feels like she is a hideous monster

     My music video project will be done in a group with other people. I am working with my good friends Abigail, and Eileen. Two other students that attend my school. They also have the Media studies class. I chose to work with them because I have known them both for a long time. Each of them are hard workers and they apply themselves to their assignments. They both believe academics are important so I know I can depend on them to do their parts. Just like they can depend on me to do my part. The song I chose was Pretty Hurts by Beyoncé. My group chose this because the meaning of the song runs deep, and the music video is even deeper. Pretty Hurts is about young girls accepting themselves. Beauty standards today change every second and it’s hard to fit into them. The music video is based around a storyline. Women in a beauty pageant where they are all competing.   Hi Im Amiya and I’m reintroducing myself for my music video project . I’m a high school student who’s stuck in active history. Ignoring the censorship, I read all and any books I can get my hands on. I enjoy watching films and listening to music. If I’m not in the middle of a conversation my headphones are definitely on and the volume is at 100. We can’t listen to music in school either but my love for music always makes its way into any assignment I can write freely on. I hate poetry and I don’t understand it. Spoken or written I think there is no sense to words that aren’t even in order. Not all poetry is like this that, but I can’t ever seem to find the beauty of it, everyone always speaks of it at least. I love rap music though which is what teachers compare poetry to in a weak attempt to get us interested into being taught the same thing every year. I love learning I think learning new things is probably the only thing I look forward to every day. If I go a day without learning
