  I didn't really plane how to use any new technology. I have a history with editing videos so using video star was very easy. The fade and putting all the clips together was pretty easy too. I learns that you have to ask others about updates on theirs to make sure you're going on the right track. I waited until the very end to ask others to look at theirs. I ended up seeing that everyone had a similar idea of what they wanted to do and I changed mines. On the next project I'm going to ask others how they are doing on theirs earlier. I'm also going to try to use fresher videos. I did not like any of the videos I took that were fairly recent. I'm also going to make sure I'm set on whatever music I choose. At the end he anger to change my song but it was too late to completely backtrack on what I choose. I studied the songs lyrics and made sure what I chose related to it in some way.   During my study hall I worked on editing again. My video is basically finished I am trying to decide which part of mirrorball I should use. My photos are all jump cuts there is no dissolving or fading. This is because the beat of the song is very steady, and it would be hard to fade or dissolve and have it and keep the photo evident enough for anyone watching to see. I’m going to start the song from 2:47 because the lyrics I want to use start from there. I play the song on repeat as I watch the video because it is important that they fit what I want the viewer to see. Everything I put in the video has a meaning, but I don’t want to have to say it for the viewer to see that. Halfway through production I was going to switch to the song lover you should’ve come over by Jeff Buckley because it was a song I enjoyed.   After getting most of the video out of the way I moved on to finalizing the commercial. Since I am still using video star I already knew how to work the app. There has not been many difficulties with the apps or materials just with the filming. Trying to decide where to film has been hard. With old videos I just choose a piece from there and I crop it and add it in. With the new filming I do not like any of the videos I took and the ones I do like can’t be used because I am on school campus. With the theme of mirrorball I wanted to focus on academics but you can’t really do that outside of school. The video is now fully done, this is a update, and I am deciding what to cut. There is a bit of panning in the overall video, but I tried to make the movement less extreme. I overall think mirrorball was the best choice for the video.   I've been adding the pictures and videos together on video star. I have not been doing much filming and have been looking through older videos now because they fit the commercial better. On video star they make it easy to trim and add videos together without disrupting the song. By looking deeper into Mirrorball I have figured out a new aspect to music. I have seen how the double meanings have even more meanings behind them. My main goal with this video is to make it seem like a reflectio n of my entire life, not just the present .   To start my production off I looked for an editing app. I decided to use video star in the end because I was already familiar with the platform. I’ve edited videos on there for 5 years, so I already knew how to use everything. I picked out the song already so I downloaded it to my phone so I could upload it to VS. I started recording myself at a birthday dinner with my friends so I could have footage for later. I cropped the video down to certain parts so I could fit them with the theme of my commercial. I plan to film more outside of schools so I can get shots that I can work with. I have been looking at photos of myself and trying to decide which ones to use. First, I automatically thought about my favorite artist which is Taylor Swift. I had to think about which song fit me the best, I had to start looking at lyrics and song meanings. I was going to choose The Archer but, in the end, I decided Mirrorball was the best song to choose. Mirrorball is basically about being a version of yourself that makes others happy more than yourself. For me this can match many aspects of my life. Ever since I was younger my main goal was to make others happy and to make everyone else comfortable even if I was not. I often put my academics before my health and last year I decided to stop, and my grades dropped. I went from being an all-A student to getting Cs, Ds, and even an F. My schoolwork did not allow me to have the privilege of putting my mental health first, so I had to switch them back around this year. I am being the version of myself that will make my academic life thrive, which will make everyone else happy. But in order to truly achieve happiness

  I am a 15-year-old girl who was born and raised in Miami FL. I have 6 siblings, all girls and only one brother. People like to say that we are clones of each other. I love sitting down and reading a book more than anything. I read for at least 6 hours every day because reading is the one thing I truly enjoy. I read many things, but I mostly read fantasy and romance books. I read because it is like an escape from the real world, and for those 6 hours I can escape all of my problems. I do not like reading nonfiction books,I cannot get pass the first page. That is because a lot of nonfiction books address real world problems. When I read about real struggles, I am reminded that I exist here, I am living in the year 2023 and I have school in the morning.
