Production Blog

I've been adding the pictures and videos together on video star. I have not been doing much filming and have been looking through older videos now because they fit the commercial better. On video star they make it easy to trim and add videos together without disrupting the song. By looking deeper into Mirrorball I have figured out a new aspect to music. I have seen how the double meanings have even more meanings behind them. My main goal with this video is to make it seem like a reflection of my entire life, not just the present. The versatility of Video Star has helped me understand filming basics more. I have learned how to pan after filming and how to move shots around without actually moving cameras around. These videos have made me look at my younger self in a much different light. I have always tried my best to make others happy even from when I was younger. It just hasn't been noticed until now because I have pointed it out. Making sure my video correlates with the song is important to me since it is supposed to be all about me. I have made the decision to blur out other faces in the video because I want to focus to be on me. Even though I may now be the center of attention in the video I want the person watching to realize that I am still there doing my best with no one else watching. While making the video I realized that I wanted more footage of the beach because of how much I know I love the ocean. The ocean represents peace and quietness for me, it is the one place where I can't be bugged or nagged about schoolwork and other responsibilities. I'm finishing the video faster than I expected to. Most of my shots are medium close ups, and medium shots because I recorded myself. For the beach shots I plan to set up my camera and do a long shot of the area without many people to convey the peace message. So far, I'm on track and everything is fitting in nicely.
