Production Blog

To start my production off I looked for an editing app. I decided to use video star in the end because I was already familiar with the platform. I’ve edited videos on there for 5 years, so I already knew how to use everything. I picked out the song already so I downloaded it to my phone so I could upload it to VS. I started recording myself at a birthday dinner with my friends so I could have footage for later. I cropped the video down to certain parts so I could fit them with the theme of my commercial. I plan to film more outside of schools so I can get shots that I can work with. I have been looking at photos of myself and trying to decide which ones to use. There are also other photos that aren’t of me that I want to use. Same with videos I have found on the internet and this is because they fit me. I like a lot of things and I want to put them in the video because it is all about me. I love this podcast w called emergency intercom and I looked over my favorite episode and I drew clips from there. I also love Harry Potter so I want to put clips and quotes from the film and the book into my video. I enjoy reading more than anything else so I want to put some of my favorite books into the video. (artists drawings, quotes) I enjoy cooked  and making tea so I want to put some of the things I have made in the past. For the tea I want to make a time lapse of me making my favorite cup of my tea because it genuinely makes me so happy. I also like to keep up with the weather forecasts and I watch the news to keep up with current events. I want to put a clip of the news from a day that is special to me in the video. I of course would be recording all of this with my phone so I would probably use one of my devices to play it on. I would do some voice overs but for most of the video the music would be playing over it. Since I relate to mirrorball mostly with my academic life I want to put a video or picture of me doing work in the video. I probably will use more than one video to show how much my academics have taken up my life.
