        This is my group blog for my final task/ short film for a level media studies. I have decided to work alone for this project, in my previous projects transportation and communication were problems for me. That is why for this project I decided to work by myself. I will have my friends help me film because I know I want to have extra help filming. I will have my friends Nevaeh and Mya with me in the film. They are in not in a level media but they do understand the concepts of filming. As for everything else I will take care of it. I will do all the research and the planning. I will also create the script and characters I want in my short film. I think working by myself will allow for em to be more flexible in what I want to do. I am comfortable with any genre and any topic so these will be no one limiting me. My options are unlimited. I am going to pull inspiration from movies like book smart and ladybird. I want to do a short film that explores an aspect of being young. Greta Gerwig is a great director that I would draw inspiration from. I guess the genre would be something to do with coming of age. I believe that coming  of age may not be considered a genre, I would have to do more research to figure that out. But yes, I will be working on my own for my final test. So there would only be me, Amiya, in my group. Thanks for reading!

Production Blog: Filming Break

  This week, I decided to take a short break from filming. Between schoolwork and the pressures of working on Burnt Out, I found myself getting a bit overwhelmed. I needed time to recharge, and I think it’s important to recognize when you need a pause. Taking this break also gave me the opportunity to think about the film from a new perspective. I’ve been adjusting parts of the script, trying to make it even more personal and reflective of my own experiences. It’s been a bit of a challenge balancing everything, but I think stepping away for a bit will make the final product stronger. During this time, I’ve also been focusing on post-production and watching the footage I’ve gathered so far. I’m looking at how each scene connects to the next and thinking about the emotional arc of the film.
