Production blog: editing

 



        Hi blog! Production is done and now we are focused on the editing aspect of this project. I do a lot of the editing for this project. I am used to using these platforms so it is not a struggle. I first began with editing the scenes together. The scenes were all filmed in order so it was easy to do this. Before adding the scenes in I had to decide which takes we would use in our sequence. We filmed a lot. After adding in the scenes I started to look at which effects would work. The seamless animations would blend the scenes together. It would make it smoother. It would make the transition less awkward. After choosing which effects I wanted to use I added them in. I used CapCut to add the videos together. I used video star to add in the effects. Both platforms are incredibly useful and they have helped us through this project. My teammates helped with some of the editing too. I am going to finish editing it finally soon. I still have to choose whether or not I want to implement a color over the sequence. Color in a film contributes to the mood of it and I think it is important to at least consider adding in a coloring. That is all I have for today. Bye blog!

My product challenges the conventions that the media has put out. The music video is all about loving yourself truly and freely. The video does not have any character that goes under the knife to look better, but this is uncommon. Usually when a woman in film is insecure, she undergoes a surgery, or she starts to work out to change how she looks so she is finally happy with herself. The character in my music video learns self-love and grows to be happy with her natural self. I wanted this change to be obvious to send out the message that you do not need to change yourself to be happy. You can go down so many other paths to become happy. By the end of the video the viewer can understand that beauty is not defined by what other people think and that they can learn to grow to love their natural selves.

  1.  What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? During the opening sequence  the titles shown include the directors name, the screenplay writers name, what books the film is inspired by, the producers names, the executive producers name, the director of photography, production designer, the editor, the costume designer, the music creator, the co-producer, the associate producer, the actors names, and the production company title. 2.  What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The images that are shown are different shots of events that will happen in the film. All of them are moving pictures and foreshadowing what will happen. It opens with an eye and then it begins to show the children in a boat. It then proceeds to show various transitions between different parts which makes it seem hectic. Many shots of the moving children and the tall head are prioritized to show the power dynamic between the children and Count Olaf.  3. How does the film establish a feeling
