Production blog: editing plans

 

 Hey blog! I began editing some practice clips. I used video star and CapCut. Both platforms are easy to use. They have free effects that make the editing process smoother. My team and I will be using simple effects for this sequence. It is a simple opening sequence and it does not necessarily need extravagant effects. As I looked into different effects I realized this. Our sequence could be a reality for some people, and in order to keep the audience entertained we need simple and smooth effects. There are effects like a simple fade out and fade in. They create a smooth transition between scenes. There are also effects that u can add after filming like panning. You can also add flickers in to create suspense for a scene. To also add to the suspense of the sequence you can create a coloring for the sequence. For films like twilight, the coloring is essential to the story. Twilight has a dark and blue coloring throughout the film. It kept my eyes on the screen throughout the whole film while I watched it. For my opening sequence I have not chosen a color theme yet. While editing I want to keep my genre and style in mind. That’s it for this blog!
